You know, YouTube is all the rage these days. It's difficult to mention the word "video" without speaking of YouTube. For digital videographers and enthusiasts, it's become very important to be able to upload videos to YouTube and share them with the world.
Uploading videos to YouTube is not that difficult. With an iPhone, you can simply shoot a video and have it uploaded in a matter of minutes.
Here's a little guide on how you can upload video from your iPhone into YouTube - comprising of 7 easy to do steps.
The first thing you need to do is to sign up for a YouTube account, if you haven't already got one. My advice to you is to do this step on a computer, rather than the smart phone. It's simply a lot harder to navigate the application process on a phone.
Signing up with YouTube is free and you simply need to provide some basic details, e.g. your name, email address and so forth.
Ok, the next step is to shoot a video on your iPhone. I assume you're already familiar on how to do this. For the purpose of this guide, I took a simple clip of about 10 seconds long. Make sure it is shot under good light and hold the iPhone steady.

The problem with many smartphone video shots is that they are either too dark or too shaky - so make sure you avoid this.
The next thing is to is to upload your video into YouTube. Navigate to your video in the iPhone Camera Roll. Next, what you need to do is to click on the box with the arrow coming out of it on the lower left corner of your video.

Next, you select "Send to YouTube". That's all there is to it - easy, isn't it!
After you've sent the video to YouTube, the iPhone will prompt you to enter your YouTube account settings. Simply enter the details, then tap on "Sign In".

The next thing that happens is that YouTube will ask you to enter a title, description, tags, and categorize the video. Make sure you choose an appropriate set of information to describe the video. The better your description of the video, the more likely people will find it.
Enter your video details
Tags are are perhaps the most important element of YouTube videos - be generous with them and label your tags properly.
Ok, final step. Tap on "Publish" on the top right corner of the screen. The iPhone then drops you right back into your Camera Roll (without any additional feedback - which I find a bit unfriendly).
You should then see a little "online activity wheel" on the top left of your screen. This means that the video is in the process of being uploaded to YouTube directly. Once it's done, you should see a message saying that your video is published. Great!
The next thing you should do is to wait a while, then go go back to YouTube to check your video upload. I found my video quite easily after it was uploaded.
Well, I hope the above has given you some good guidance on how to upload video from your iPhone to YouTube. For me, I was able to take the video on my iPhone, upload it to YouTube and then share the URL with my friends and family - all within about three minutes.
That's great stuff! You should do this more and more and within time, you'll become a YouTube video mogul! Until next time, good luck and have a great time with your videos!
